MAYOR'S COURT. - ...William F. Corkley, proprietor of the Spotswood Hotel, charged with violating the anti-liquor law by retailing ardent spirits to be drunk in his bar room. In this case the police officer saw a gentleman take a drink at the bar - got into conversation with him, and learned that the potation in which he had indulged was brandy - no soda water and raspberry vinegar this time.
