DIED,

…Died, at the residence of Mrs Timberlake, on Oregon Hill after a severe pain of twelve hours, caused by the fearful accident on Brown’s Island, Miss ELIZABETH YOUNG, aged about 25 years.

She was loved by all who knew her. She won for herself many warm friends during the short time she had resided in Richmond. This will be sad sad news to her relations and friends, whom she left not long since in Caroline county, where she was raised and loved by all who knew her. – When she left there a few months ago, little she thought that she spoke good bye for the last time. Now she lies under the cold, cold sod free from all the toils and pains of this earth. But it affords us a great deal of happiness to state to her friends that she died happy. She spoke to those around her, and to her companion Miss MARY RYAN, who was laying on the same couch of pain, and begged and hoped that they would prepare to meet her in heaven, where there was always happiness and peace. Since then poor MARY has gone to join her friends, who had hardly got to their journeys end.

But no, she is not lost -
In Heaven her spirit shines;
While here the frame once tossed,
In hope of life reclines.
Her way may others tread,
Upon that Saviour trust,
And find, as she, the dead
Have comforts in the dust.
