HEADQ'RS, BATTERY NO. 8,
Richmond Defences, Aug. 21, 1862.

THIRTY DOLLARS REWARD will be paid for the apprehension and delivery of MICHAEL McVEY to me at this post. He is an Irishman by birth, and pretends to have been in the employ of a Mr. McCrady as a stone-cutter. He brought recommendations as to character from said McCrady, and from D. Hagerty. Description: - 5 feet 10 or 11 inches in height, dark complexion, dark hair, and dark eyes. He is supposed to be loitering about Richmond, as he pretends to have a wife and family on Byrd street.
