ATTEMPTED BURGLARY. – Wednesday morning before daylight Mr. J. G. Courtney, living on 8th street, north of Leigh, fired upon a party of burglars who were attempting to force an entrance into his basement. One of the villains returned his fire, when the whole party ran off.
