THE RICHMOND POST OFFICE.

A delegation of colored gentlemen from Richmond, Virginia, called in the interest of Miss Van Lew, the lady postmaster of that city, whose term of office expires some time this month. They were successful in getting a private interview with the President and presented a numerously-signed petition asking her reappointment. The delegation on leaving expressed great satisfaction with the cordial manner in which the President received them, and returned last night to Richmond.
