Attempt at Suicide. – A poor unfortunate soldier, somewhat delirious from liquor, and other causes, made an attempt upon his life on Monday, by shooting himself in the left breast. The demented fellow had tied a string to the trigger of his rifle and pulling it, received the charge in his breast, and in the open street. The ball passed out under the right shoulder blade, and the patient is now in a dying condition at the St. Charles Hospital, Main street.
